Creebridge (above) joins the main town of Newton Stewart to Minnigaff, where a large population of the town live. Next to the bypass bridge, it is the only bridge allowing vehicles to cross the River Cree.

(Above) This image was captured purely by chance in Garlieston during the summer of 2005. I'm afraid I don't know who the locals are but they seemed to be making the most of the sunshine and the fantastic view out across the Solway.

The famous Heron at Creebridge Weir. A lot of tourists and even some locals thought this bird was a fake as it always seemed to be in the same spot. It is real!
