Bait fishing is restricted to juniors and O.A.P.'s only.

Please note that there is a catch limit of two fish on these lochs, after which time 'Catch & Release' should be practised. If bait fishing for trout, fishing must cease after your bag limit has been reached.

The Bruntis is made up of two lochs. A small loch (pictured on the left) and a bigger loch (pictured on the right), both of which can be accessed off the Dumfries road (A75) at Blackcraig.

Set in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park, the Bruntis Lochs are surrounded by wonderful scenery; watch out for the deer and the bird life.

These lochs are a favourite of both young and old alike.

A days fishing at the Bruntis Lochs costs £15.00.
